Why don't more people Pay-It-Forward in life?

I watched the Oprah show on (8-30-07). They had people on the show that had been on her show the day that she gave everyone a $1,000.00 dollars to pay-it-forward in anyway that they liked. One lady found a single mom with three kids that was living in an apartment with a broken window and almost no furniture. So she had the window fixed and bought furniture and clothes for her and her kids. She really did a wonderful job fixing the apartment up for this lady that she didn't even really know. They were both on the show, and I could tell by the tears in both ladies eyes that it was an act of "Real Loving Magic".

Do you think that both of these ladies have become friends?

There were others on the show that just went out and gave their $1,000.00 away to complete strangers. It was kind of funny that when they were giving the money away there was a camera crew there to get it on film for the show. I’m not sure if that was pre-planned or not. There was one thing that I did catch, some of the people that receive the "pay-it-forward" money all had one thing to say, "oh what a blessing and miracle from "God". Now, the one thing that I didn't hear on the show from Oprah was her giving God the credit for what was done. (She may have, but it wasn't on the show if she did.) It was all about Oprah. Don't get me wrong, I don't know what is in Oprah’s heart. What I do know is that she has really been blessed, and that she really does some wonderful things world wide. I hope that she will always continue to give back to others as she has. I think that this is a prime example of when you give it is always given back to you more so than what you have given. However, with what they did, it was a one time thing. With "Pay-It-Forward For Real Loving Magic" this can be a blessing that will work over and over.
